Biona is a Czech family-owned company, established 25 years ago. Our main business area is the production of biodegradable oils. As well as the Czech market, we export our oils to a large percentage of the world. Our main business headquarters is based in Czech Republic and we have a daughter company based in New Zealand which has developed into one of the largest suppliers on the local market.

Our product portfolio covers almost all biodegradable oils and lubricants but our most important product categories are bar and chain oils, hydraulic oils and separation oils. The high quality off all our oils and lubricants is achieved by using our own self-produced, cold-pressed, virgin rapeseed oil produced and processed right here at our facility in Jersín. The original Rapeseeds are purchased from local farmers and the pulp produced during pressing is sold back to agriculture as a raw material for the production of fodder. This is just one example that ecology and sustainability is not just a buzz word for us but a daily part of the entire production process and part of our corporate philosophy.

Biona are also proud owners of all required certifications. Which enable us to provide high standard products to our customers. We also now use the newly implemented Productoo production software which helps us to achieve excellent quality of our products. In cooperation with our state-of-the-art laboratory, it is practically impossible to ship non-conforming products. The software also provides a perfect overview of the entire production process, from receiving the order, through to production from stock to shipping and laboratory archiving of all parameters of manufactured products. Our experienced chemical engineers work daily at our research and development laboratory to enhance and improve the formulas of our products.

We are able to deliver our products to our foreign customers in almost all types of packaging, from tanks to IBCs, barrels to canisters, either directly or through our ever-expanding network of distribution partners.

Our proudest achievement is that each year we are able to distribute millions of litres of biodegradable-oil to the entire world without the need for any external investments or ownership. And all from a small village in the Vysočina region of the Czech Republic.
